Noah's Mill

Noah’s Mill is a small batch Kentucky Bourbon out of the Willett Distillery. Its is 114.3 proof or 57.15% alcohol. Around me the price per bottle is typically between $50-$60 dollars a bottle. I’ve heard that this bourbon used to have a 15 year age statement, but these days it is a blend if different ages - google is telling me its a blend of 4-20 years.

Beautiful rich amber color

Before buying Noah’s Mill I read a review that described it as the whiskey equivalent of being smacked in the face with Pecan Pie - and I cannot say I disagree. It starts off with a burning hit of alcohol which is no surprise at 114 proof. It progresses into a rich sweet flavor (this is where pecan pie comes in). The smell is sweet with a lot of vanilla but without an overt alcohol scent, which is inviting as you sip. After the first rush of sweetness it ends on a dry oaky finish. I like to add an ice cube to this one and sip it slowly letting the ice cube open it up. A current favorite - its reasonably priced, widely available, and pretty delicious.
