The Perfect PSL
It’s pumpkin spice season baby!! And I love pumpkin spice, however, I actually don’t love Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes. They’re overly sweet and have a bit of a funny taste to me, so I prefer to make my own. This is … barely a recipe. It is just a nice little treat coffee I make on fall weekends. It is more of a pumpkin spice cappucino than a homemade PSL, but it is my favorite DIY coffee hack.
You can froth milk a lot of ways - as you can see my coffee maker has a frothing wand, very handy. My sister in law also got me this milk frother which I love, it works really well here because it mixes everything together while it heats and froths. If you dont have a frother, you could just heat the ingredients together on the stove or microwave, it will still be delicious just not foamy.
Ingredients:
2 long espresso shots
1/2 cup milk of choice (I use oat)
1 tblsp maple syrup (the real deal)
1/8 tsp pumpkin spice blend
Make the espresso. Put the remaining ingredients into the milk frother and turn it on.
Once the milk frother has done its thing, pour the frothy pumpkin spice milk into the espresso and enjoy!
