Watermelon Mezcal Margarita
It’s just about Memorial Day and time for lazy days by the pool and long days in the sun. This spicy watermelon mezcal margarita is the perfect sip for summer days. It’s also still a global pandemic so, let’s be honest - we could also use a fruity drink.
Ingredients:
3 cups cubed watermelon
3 limes
2 cups ice
1/4 of a jalapeño (optional)
6 oz mezcal
3 oz grand marnier
Makes 4 generous margaritas
If you’re feeling fancy you might want salt for the rim and lime slices for garnish
If you have a strong blender - just peel the limes and pop them in the blender; otherwise juice them and add the juice.
Pop all the rest of the ingredients in the blender and blend until frothy, sweet, spicy, and smooth. If you want to salt the rim and garnish with a slice of lime, I won’t be mad about it.
It’s pretty spicy as written - so if that’s not your thing, feel free to leave out the Jalapeño (or cut it back).
This goes without saying but - drink responsibly friends!
